Card Readings With Multiple Decks
I have used Tarot Cards for self-reflection, and offered readings to friends, for almost 40 years. About 15 years ago I added a few decks based on North American aboriginal spiritual traditions for personal readings. They, as is typical of most non-tarot divination decks, contain around 4 dozen cards each.
Many such oracle decks are designed for a more limited subject or theme. This makes such decks great for a focused reading. They might also be used to bring focus to a tarot reading; tarot’s 78 cards cover a lot of ground.
While visiting old friends back in Toronto in June, I was gifted 3 oracle decks by Doreen Virtue. Receiving those decks while celebrating my 60th birthday and in the midst of launching my Gryphon Card Readings Etsy Shop I took as a sign that it is time to expand GCR readings beyond traditional spreads and decks.
Double Deck Spreads
The first DDS spread I designed is the Guidance & Purpose Spread– using five cards from two related decks for a succinct and powerful reading on moving forward with a purpose. That spread is available in 3 variations; tarot, First Nations decks, or Virtue oracle decks.
